Tips
Use bleach in a well ventilated area.
Never mix bleach with any other chemicals.
Wash hands thoroughly after handling bleach.
Instructions
Draw or print a design on paper.
Transfer the design to contact paper. I taped the design to the contact paper and used a piece of carbon paper to transfer my design. If you draw your design on the paper backing, remember this will be the reverse.
Cut out the design. I am cutting out the part of the design that I will bleach.
Peel the backing off of the contact paper design.
Place the contact paper design on the t shirt where you want it.
Press the contact paper firmly to remove any air pockets.
Insert a trash bag or piece of cardboard into the t shirt. This will keep the bleach from running to both sides of the t shirt.
Wear gloves to protect your hands. Color your design with the bleach pen. Be sure to shake your pen before use.
Allow the bleach to "sit" on the t shirt for up to 20 minutes.
Carefully remove cardboard or trash bag.
To stop the bleaching process, rinse the bleach off the t shirt with cold water. Do not smear the bleach while you are rinsing. You can leave the contact paper on the shirt while you rinse the t shirt.
When the bleach is removed, remove the contact paper and rinse or wash the entire shirt.
Hang the t shirt to dry or dry in a dryer.
Wash shirt alone before wearing.
